The gods turned him into a scented flower - the daffodil. With a little irony, Nicola pairs poe, William Wordsworth’s ‘jocund company’ with the humble, yet dazzling, bluebell. As the ‘lonely’ golden flower rests to admire ‘crowds’ of bluebells, which majestically weave their way up the stem of the vase, Narcissus himself may be given a pardon for The Love of Bluebells.
